What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Irene Dairy Farm is widely praised for its authentic farm experience, beautiful scenery, and family-friendly atmosphere. Visitors love the opportunity to see farm animals and enjoy fresh produce. While the food is generally good, some reviews mention slow service during peak times, particularly at The Barn restaurant.
"We stopped in at Irene Farm on a Sunday to take my little one to go look at the cows and enjoy the Winters day in Pretoria. Although we did not visit the restaurants we had a wonderful outing where he was able to interact with the calves as well as feed the grown cows which were in their enclosure. The atmosphere is lively and the excitement of all the little humans running around is palpable. The grounds are very well maintained. There is ample parking with car guards all around looking after your vehicle. An enjoyable and free outing ( because we didn't go to any of the restaurants on the property - next time)."

"I really enjoyed the Sunday hangout, good tasted good and though it was packed, the waitress tried by all means to reach out to us.
The facilities are perfect for a Sunday brunch with family and the kids."

"We spend the day at Irene farm. Very beautiful and great for the kids to see how a dairy farm works. All was fine till we went to THE BARN. Not really anything to get excited about. Food was tasty but took long. Staff not in a hurry. Our waitress Nocisebo looks upset to assist, rolling her eyes if asked we something and really not in a hurry to be helpfull.I must mention we where quite a big table. Some burgers where half dressed with garnish as if they could not care and just wanted to get rid of us. Great atmosphere but not worth the time to eat at the BARN if staff don't care. The main shop is great and made the day a better experience."
