What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are consistently impressed by the Solkan Bridge's architectural grandeur and its stunning setting over the Soča River. However, many note the significant lack of safe, dedicated viewpoints, often requiring visitors to navigate busy roads or find less-than-ideal spots to appreciate the structure. The natural beauty of the river is a major draw, but the infrastructure for viewing the bridge could be improved.
"A beautiful bridge, but sadly there’s no safe spot to really stop and take it in. Driving from Slovenia into Italy, the best view is on the left side – right on a tricky curve where you’d have to cross the road and stand on a narrow strip at the edge just to get the proper angle. Unfortunately, the local authorities haven’t set up a proper viewpoint, which is a shame. Hopefully that changes in the future."

"I had some trouble getting there with my bike since you're not allowed to go up the street above , but once I found the small path I went down and discovered this beauty. Stunning Bridge and beautiful colors beneath turquoise and deep green. Deserve a visit imo"
Alessandro Sensi
"Bridge is attractive and place is impressive, but local government could ensure better viewpoint than view from road bridge where traffic is ongoing in the same time."
