"Beautiful place to visit and just a 20 mins walk from the car park. Emerald waters of the Soca river."

"We added this location to our itenary last minute, and it was amazing and really worth it. Very picturesque setting which you can't get enough of. There is a little path that can get you down to the river too which is very different view. The bridge can get busy so you might want to hang about for a little while. Some brave souls were swimming in the super cold river and even jumping in from the boulders close. Was very tempting, but we had to get to Predjama in time so gave it a miss"

The Magic of the Emerald Soča
While the color is captivating year-round, the intensity can vary slightly with water levels and sunlight. During warmer months, the river is a popular spot for adventurous souls looking to cool off. However, it's crucial to remember that the Soča River is glacier-fed, meaning its temperature remains consistently cold, often hovering around 10-15°C (50-59°F) even in July and August. This makes for a bracing, albeit brief, swimming experience for the truly hardy!
