"The Mestska veza, also called the City Gate is a six-storey Gothic style gate of the old fortifications of the town gate and built in the 15th century. It was a Sunday when I came to Trencin and the tower was closed, so I didn't get a chance to climb it. It looks okay. The current structure makes clear the original function as the gate of a fortified wall. There’s a clock now at the top of the tower, but other than that, there's not much to see."
