Reviews Summary
Zlaté Piesky Lake is a popular urban escape in Bratislava, praised for its accessibility and range of activities, from swimming to water sports. Visitors appreciate the family-friendly amenities like playgrounds and picnic spots, as well as the option for affordable evening entry. However, some note that the lake's water can be warmer than in the past, and emergent vegetation can affect entry, while crowds can be significant on weekends.
"Lovely. Local crowds. Plenty of restaurants. Swimming in the lake is fine. Near camp site which is expensive and disappointing. Showers cold all day long."

"Until this year, we liked to visit Zlate Piesky. However it looks like the owner company doesn’t take care of the entrance to the lake anymore. There are many emergent vegetation which makes entering to the water difficult and not pleasant feeling afterwards. Water temperature was 28/29 degrees by the mid Jul ‘24. Water was used to be colder (25/26 degrees) in the previous years, therefore it was not refreshing. It looks like a lot of people start to visit Zlate Piesky, and it’s not calm and clean place anymore. I literally waited 20 minutes to get a coffee from the mobil coffee shop. The entrance fee is 5€ at the spot. If you buy it online it’s 4€ (kupaliska.bratislava.sk). There is also reduced price if you enter after after 5 pm. Paid parking is available for 5€/day. If you’d be willing to walk for 5-10 minutes, you can park your car to the parking area of the Shopping Palace shopping mall. There are many facilities inside: 2 playgrounds for kids (1 with sand, other one with grass ground). fitness training tools for adults, many bars for a fresh drink and fast-food, barbecue spots for your own picnic, watersport club and activities and lastly a huge camping area for campers."

"The eastern beach of the lake remains open until sunset - sunny, where even naturalists can enjoy themselves. I don't see the point of going to a paid beach, which is without sunlight after four o'clock and, thanks to the number of children's attractions, is also full of children's screams."
