What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Apponyi Palace is praised for its extensive and eclectic artworks, offering a fascinating glimpse into the past with its historical furnishings. Visitors appreciate the integrated experience with the City Hall museum and the unique wine tasting opportunities. However, some find the connection between the palace and city hall a bit confusing, and it's noted as not an absolute must-see unless part of a combined ticket or special interest.
"Very extensive museum with eclectic artworks and interesting exhibitions. The Palace is joined together with the city hall museum, so it's a bit mixed. The exhibits are varied and need some time to really absorb the value of them all. Try reading as much as possible so you'll gain the insight necessary to really appreciate the artists work. I used my Bratislava card so the entrance fee was included."

"This museum is located in the palace of the former Hungarian Noble Apponyi family. As the name suggests, the museum is laid out with furnishing when the family lived there. The museums covers all the rooms you’d expect from a house and each room also has some description of the items in the room. The furnishing are a nice mix of Rococo and French Empire style.
I paid for a combined ticket when visiting the Bratislava City Museum which got me into this and the Museum of Viticulture. The museum is worth a look as part of the combined ticket and if you’ve not seen examples of this kind of building, but not a must-see."

"The palace is part of the building complex of the Old Town Hall, in fact it's quite difficult to understand where one ends and the other one starts because the rooms are all connected on the inside. The ticket, together with that of Old Town Hall, costs 8€ but it's free with Bratislava Card."
