Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning 360-degree city views from the 50th-floor sky garden, especially given the incredibly low $6 entry fee. It's praised as a budget-friendly alternative to expensive rooftop bars and offers a unique perspective on Singapore's skyline and its innovative public housing. Some note a less pronounced 'kampong spirit' among residents compared to other HDBs.

"We visited a friend here and was brought around on the views that captivates the mind.

Lets dive in!

Location:
This HDB estate is on Cantonment road and near to many organizations. Places like Singapore General Hospital, Police and the nearest is a Community Club, which is just 1 minute away. Fyi, Tg Pagar CC is 65 years old this year.

Amenities:
There are lots of playgrounds, on level 3. Not forgetting a basketball court and a kindergarten too. There are also sky bridges between the different towers. And also a Resident Network centre here In one of the towers. And the coolest thing here is that, a living history is just next door; Yan Kit playfield.

Upkeep:
The maintenance of the place currently needs to be looked into. There are places that are much visible, that needs to be repaired and such, but i guess that would worked on soon perhaps. Nonetheless, the views from inside the houses, are unobstructed.

We did go to level 26 garden bridge but not to the top floor due to the timing and hot weather.

All in all, we kinda enjoyed it but we did realise something. Unlike the typical hdb, where many would smile back when we meet while walking, the residents here do not reciprocate your smiles. Probably due to them paying a high amount to stay in here. This probably lead to a mindset shift where it may translates to a higher prestige of living and such.. or an air of arrogance that they exude, just bkoz they are staying with this view. . We wont know and we dont care actually. Just felt that the privilege lifestyle is observed and the kampong spirit here, is not felt."

"Pinnacle@Duxton is a public housing project at 1A Cantonment Road.1 It is the first 50-storey public housing project in Singapore, and also the first in the world with two sky bridges linking seven towers. The sky bridges create two layers of sky parks that offer panoramic views of the city. Resulting from the first international competition for public housing in Singapore, Pinnacle@Duxton is regarded as groundbreaking for redefining the concept of public housing with its unique design features.2

History
Pinnacle@Duxton was built at the 2.5-hectare Duxton Plain on Cantonment Road. This site was where Blocks 1 and 2, the first Housing and Development Board (HDB) rental flats, which were commissioned by the government in 1963, used to stand."
