"The Baydar Gate is a mountain pass through the main ridge of the Crimean Mountains, leading from the Baydar Valley (called Crimean Switzerland) to the southern coast of Crimea. The Baydar Gate Pass or simply the Baydar Pass is located between Mount Chelebi (657 m) in the west and Chkhu-Bair (705 m) in the east. The height of the pass is 503 m above sea level.

There's an observation deck at the top with magnificent views. We definitely recommend visiting. We first visited the Foros Church, then drove to the gates, and then descended into the valley, reaching the road almost before Balaklava. It's an interesting and educational journey. You can stop at the ramps and platforms, take souvenir photos, and simply enjoy the nature and mountain views."
