What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Kovilj-Petrovaradin Marshes SNR for its incredible biodiversity, particularly its abundant birdlife, and the serene beauty of the Danube wetlands. The opportunity for peaceful nature walks and boat tours is highly valued. However, some find the accessibility challenging due to muddy paths and limited facilities, recommending good footwear and planning ahead.
"Varadin Bridge is one of the main crossings in Novi Sad, linking the city center with the Petrovaradin Fortress. The original bridge was built back in 1881, but during World War II it was destroyed several times and rebuilt again. In 1999 it was hit during the bombings, like the other Novi Sad bridges, and the current version has been standing since 2000. It may not be as iconic as the Žeželj Bridge, but it’s got its own charm – especially with the view straight onto the fortress and the Danube."
