"hilarious! The Chinese gave them this building and they literally put up an exhibit of tires and trash. I guess art does imitate life.
Before the Europeans came to Africa, there was no written language in most of the continent so they’ve don’t have any history to put on display. Instead, they’ve just culturally appropriated Egyptian history and put up billboards around the first floor of the museum on the Egyptians instead.
Most of the museum is empty."
Emily Hafley
"Very informative! I enjoyed the available exhibits. I will need to return when they complete renovations! The innovation of Africa is unmatched, of all the museums I've been to this will be my favorite!"
