"The view outside the door is outstanding and here is the littke history i learened about this mosque from one of the locals.
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him prayed for three things here,
1. Oh God! Please do not change the faces of my ummat if they commit sin.
2. Oh God! I wish that my ummat do not fight with each other.
3. Save my ummat from azab (disaster)."

"The al-Ijabah Mosque ( previously Bani Muawiyah Mosque)
is in Madina Saudi Arabia, the second holiest city in Islam.

This mosque is located in North-East of Masjid-e-Nabvi approximately 590 meters away and 280 meters North of the Al-Baqi Cemetery Complex. This mosque was restored several years ago in 1997 AD/1418 AH by King Fahd with an area of 1000 square meters and at present this area is again under construction.

Previously this mosque was called as Bani Muawiyah Mosque, but as Rasulullah SAW once prayed and sought three duas in this mosque hence the name was changed to Al-Ijabah Mosque.

Imam Muslim narrated from Amir bin Saad from his father, that one day the Messenger of Allah came from the mountain and when he passed the Bani Muawiyah Mosque, he entered into it and prayed two rak'ahs Salat. Amir bin Saad said that he and his entourage also prayed with Rasulullah SAW. The Prophet Muhammad prayed for a long time in this mosque, then he faced us and said.

“I have asked Allah for three things. Allah granted two and rejected one. I ask Allah not to destroy my people with drought and famine. Allah granted it. And I asked Allah SWT not to destroy my people by drowning them, and Allah granted it. And finally, I asked Allah so that there would be no slander and differences between my people, but He (Allah) did not grant it." (HR Muslim). Because of this many pilgrims visit it; offer prayer here and sought dua. May Allah accept their prayers also, ameen."

The History and Significance of Masjid Al-Ijabah

Masjid Al-Ijabah, originally known as Bani Muawiyah Mosque, holds a special place in Islamic history due to a pivotal event involving Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is here that the Prophet offered a series of supplications to Allah, seeking divine intervention for his community. The name 'Al-Ijabah' itself translates to 'the response' or 'the acceptance,' directly referencing the divine acceptance of his prayers. Reddit

During his visit, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) made three earnest requests to Allah. The first two were for the protection of his followers from widespread famine and from being destroyed by a deluge or drowning, both of which Allah graciously granted. The third, and most poignant, was a plea for unity and the prevention of internal conflict and bloodshed among his Ummah. Sadly, this third supplication was not granted, a fact that continues to resonate with believers today. This historical context makes the mosque a site of deep contemplation and spiritual reflection for pilgrims. Reddit

Beyond the supplications, the mosque is also noted as a location related to the event of Mubahila between the Prophet and the Christians of Najran. Although currently undergoing construction, the historical and spiritual weight of Masjid Al-Ijabah remains immense, drawing visitors who wish to connect with this significant site in Medina. Reddit
