"The Owia Salt Pond is a relaxing natural attraction in St. Vincent. It has calm, crystal-clear pools of warm seawater formed by volcanic rocks that enclose a section of the ocean. The contrast of the clear blue water against the black sand beach is absolutely amazing. Because the area is protected by rocks, there are no waves, making it perfect for a swim or a soothing soak.
The facilities are very well maintained, there are clean change rooms, restrooms, and showers available for visitors. To reach the salt pond, you’ll need to descend about 100 steps, but the effort is well worth it once you arrive. The surrounding park area is perfect for picnicking, and there are huts selling local items and refreshments.
I recommend wearing water shoes, as the rocks can be a bit uneven, and bringing a hat or sun protection, since the area is quite open. I visited in September, and it was quiet with no crowds, making the experience private and enjoyable. The drive is quite long from the city, so be prepared for that. It cost 5EC to enter as a regional visitor. Definitely recommend"

"A quiet hideaway. Visited during September so had no crowds or other visitors to deal with. A short walk from the parking area and recreation park, and dow around 100 steps. I'd recommend travelling with water shoes since the rock surfaces can be scorching hot during the day, and also so you don't get your feet punctured by any of the whelks. Nice cool and warm water in a calming location. Overall a nice place to visit"

"I must start by mentioning how well maintained this compound is. It's also a plus that there are vendor booths on the compound because after making that long drive to get there we were hungryyyyyy, so it was a wonderful sight and even better after eating our wings and fries and having a cold, refreshing drink. The walk down to the beach was a fairly short one down some steps. Some ppl will find the walk to be long. On arrival it was a sight. Black sand lining the beach and the rocks/boulders in the ocean looked like something out of a science fiction movie when human land on a new planet. The water was warm and the tide was low. The only downside were the slippery rocks. You have to be very mindful of where you place your feet when walking tru the ocean. A climb up the tall rocks is a must. Take your photos, enjoy the breeze and the scenery. It's worth the drive. Try it soon."
