What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Anse Chastanet Beach is praised for its exceptional snorkeling and the breathtaking Pitons views on the scenic, albeit challenging, access road. While the public beach area is smaller and much of the prime beachfront is reserved for resort guests, visitors find it peaceful, especially on weekdays. The sunset views are a particular highlight.
"This beach, in my opinion is not one of the most beautifuls of Saint Lucia. It seems to be more for the guests of the resort, the public part is not big. I did find the beach quite peaceful though, maybe because it was weekday late afternoon. The access road it is not easy, narrowed in some parts, there are some steep parts, and after a small rain the road became slippery and we witnessed some car struggling to go up. At more less mid way there is a point with a wonderful view of the pitons, we managed to stop the car safely and took a nice shot.

"Beautiful beach! It’s amazing at sunset. The view of the pitons on the road to the beach is also incredible, it could be on a postcard (pictures below!) Not a far walk from the parking lot, however the roads aren’t the best. We had to use the 4x4 from our rental, but had a lot of fun doing it. Everyone was super friendly here."

"Best beach we visited by far! The snorkeling here was a life changing experience. I did see a barracuda in the water but he was not cool with me being around and left immediately; but he did not seem very hungry. Used “Hope & pray water taxi”. He was very cool and drive easy; I was scared as I can’t swim well and the water was a bit rough."
