What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Nikitin Literary Museum for its engaging and educational programs, especially for children, and the knowledgeable staff. The historical significance of the building and the well-preserved memorial offices are also highlighted as major draws. Some visitors note a feeling of being overly supervised, which can detract from the experience.
"For the second year now, we have been attending events organized by the museum for children's camps. We come there with great pleasure, because it is very exciting, interesting and educational. I would like to say a huge thank you to the girls who, with soul, understanding, and in a language accessible to primary school children, told us a lot of new things about the era of Peter the Great and the Great Patriotic War. We really hope for further cooperation not only in the summer, but also during the next academic year. We will be very pleased to attend other events at the museum!"

"The Literary Museum permanently houses exhibitions dedicated to A.V. Koltsov, I.A. Bunin, memorial offices of writers A.I. Ertel and N.A. Zadonsky, exhibitions of A. Platonov and O. Mandelstam in Voronezh, as well as halls - Petrovsky and Folklore. The building is a historical and architectural monument of federal significance (Meshchanskaya Uprava). The first three-story house in the city (Baroque) belonged to the merchant family of Savostyanov. At the end of the 19th century, it housed the magistrate, the city council, the city administration, and since 1876 - the Meshchanskaya Uprava."

"Small, clean museum. Polite, pleasant staff. There were just two of us, the museum curator accompanied us and told us the main events. The museum has a hall dedicated to Koltsov, folklore, two temporary exhibitions and much more. For an hour. Cost 150 per person. During a pandemic, tickets can only be purchased on the website."
