Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Church of St Theodore Stratelates on the Brook to be a charmingly tiny and historically significant structure, often compared to miniature Greek churches. Its unique appearance and believed origins as part of a larger cathedral are points of fascination. However, many report being unable to enter due to inconsistent opening hours or closures, especially in adverse weather.

"A neat church, a monument of the 15th, 17th-18th centuries. You can visit at certain hours, closed in adverse weather conditions. We were unable to get inside due to time. It looks nice from the outside."

Ксения Хлыстун

"The Church of St. Andrew Stratilates (a Christian saint, warrior martyr) is located in the southeastern part of the Novgorod Detinets.
Initially, on the site of the church there was a stone church of Boris and Gleb. It was rebuilt several times.
It looks unsightly, small, it seems about to fall down, but this attracts even more attention.
Unfortunately, we were not able to visit inside (we were there at the end of June 2020, it was not available for visiting)."

Natalya Shagd

"Church of St. Andrew Stratilates. Unusual, very small church with a bell tower. Reminded me of Greek mini churches. Unfortunately, it was closed. Entrance fee."
