"The Ascension-George Church was founded back in 1789, the church was erected at the expense of parishioners in 1798. The church building was a stone two-story building with a bell tower and two altars: on the first floor - in honor of the Holy Great Martyr George, on the second floor - in honor of the Ascension of the Lord. In 1870, two aisles were added in honor of the Ascension of the Lord on the right side, and in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the left."
