Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Tomsk Regional Art Museum for its rich collection of Russian and Western European art, housed within a beautiful, historic building. The opportunity to see unique exhibitions and appreciate works like Kryzhitsky's landscapes leaves a lasting positive impression. Some guests found the presence of guards in each hall a bit intrusive, but overall, the museum is highly recommended for its artistic treasures and well-maintained facilities.

"We were on a unique excursion to the Art Museum on 08.08.25. The impressions were the most positive! We were given the opportunity to touch the "storerooms" of the museum, to see the conditions in which the museum employees work. How reverently and creatively the people working here treat their work! Just great!!! Thank you all for the space of Beauty that you preserve and increase for all Tomsk residents and guests of the city."

"A beautiful building, constructed in 1903 (architect K.K. Lygin). The museum's collection is extremely rich. The paintings by both Russian and Western European artists are truly stunning! In addition to the permanent collection, the museum regularly hosts exhibitions. Last year, we were lucky enough to see the fabulous exhibition "Venetian Masks. The Magic of Carnival," which recreated the festive spirit of Venice's Piazza San Marco. It was truly awe-inspiring! Thanks to the organizers! The museum is designed so that the ground floor is occupied by temporary exhibitions, so visitors don't need to buy a full ticket unless they're bored and want to see the museum's permanent collection again."

"We visited the 2nd floor with a large permanent exhibition of ten halls. There are quite a few paintings here: some from Western European culture, icons and portraits of the nobility of the pre-revolutionary era. We were especially pleased by the presence of Kryzhitsky's works with his beautiful Ukrainian landscapes. But it is strange that there is a guard for each hall who will closely watch you. This greatly interferes with enjoying the paintings. They could have installed cameras everywhere, instead of spending a lot of money on personnel. The exterior of the building is very attractive. It is obvious that the museum is being watched."
