"The Baltic coast 💙...or how I ended up on the winter sea 🌊
. My first experience of visiting the sea in winter, or rather not like that, in winter I went to the seas and oceans, but....... they were all WARM 🥰 But unlike the warm seas, the Baltic, even in summer, is not famous for the warmth of its waters🙈, and even more so in winter🥶
And since I found myself next to this sea, I simply could not not go and say hello to it💙
From Kaliningrad to the sea is only 40 minutes by "Lastochka" 😅, for me mere trifles, it was decided to go to Svetlogorsk, a small town in the forest, blown by winds from the Baltic Sea, with houses similar to gingerbread😍
The road to Svetlogorsk is a separate adventure🤦♀. After looking at the schedule in the Russian Railways app, I immediately bought tickets for the commuter train from the Northern Station (it’s cheaper from there, and therefore 5-10 minutes closer😅), the cost is symbolic👉🏻from 82₽ per ticket. It was decided to go at 12:20, this is the time indicated in the app when buying tickets)))) But.... there is one big BUT🙈... the app showed me the departure time as MOSCOW😳
What the hell, I swore, having arrived at the station and not finding my train😤, it left an HOUR AGO 🥺 And we had already passed the turnstile, we had to get back from the platform, resorting to the help of the station workers and negotiate so that they would let us on the next train past the turnstiles, TICKETS ARE VALID FOR THE WHOLE DAY, so keep this in mind if you suddenly missed the right one, like me🤣.
More than an hour of waiting and I'm still rushing to a date with the winter sea💙💙💙
A note👉🏻 when buying tickets to Svetlogorsk, take Svetlogorsk-2, you will arrive right in the center, leaving the station you will get straight to the cable car to the sea🌊
Approaching the cable car, naturally I buy 🎫, what do I hear👉🏻👉🏻👉🏻SHOCK-PRICE.... only 50₽😅 I haven't heard such prices for a long time and even asked twice🤣. Approaching the boarding gate, I found out that the cabins 🚠 were for two, an old-style micro-cable car, blown by the winds with icy folding seats 😄 It's a ride, but don't expect much from it))))
The view of the Baltic Sea from above left an ambiguous impression on me: it was harsh and wintry, a gray and gloomy low sky, and an incomparable smell that I dream about at night, yes... it is this, the smell of the sea💙, it hits my nose and permeates my whole body, reaching the strings of my soul, causing nirvana✨
After disembarking from the cable car, I was greeted by a sign👉🏻 "Swimming is prohibited 🚫" 😂, well, like... uhhh... and I definitely didn't want to get into the water. The view shocked and enchanted me at the same time, blocks of ice on the shore, noisy crowds of scurrying and screaming seagulls, diving cormorants. Penguins and seals were missing to complete the landscape, although I felt like a penguin😂. The thought that I was at least👉🏻at the North Pole was spinning in my head, and in front of me was the Arctic Ocean🙈... no less🤣 It was cold and unusual, but the sea💙 is always beautiful 💙. It was an element and I saw it in an unusual performance by the great artist of nature. The sensations were exciting, but I definitely won’t dare to repeat the winter trip in the near future, as well as a trip by car to distant lands😅. The embankment along the sea is quite long, there are working restaurants that are ready to feed you with delicious food and give you the most delicious mulled wine to drink 😋 Yeah, Nadya loves to eat delicious food, I'm such a capricious person))) And if you go up the central staircase, you will get to the panoramic restaurant "Ochag" with a panoramic view of the Baltic, it was there that I warmed up, washing down delicious shashlik and dolma with mulled wine 😍 Everything is like in many tourist cities, many souvenir shops, local "looks", tour guides with groups of tourists, but Svetlogorsk has its own unique charm, incomparable with any other, many resorts and cities I have seen 💙
Will I return to the Baltic again, honestly I don't know, anything is possible 🤔 I can't say that Svetlogorsk or Kaliningrad won my heart, as if the same Istanbul or Baku, which I am ready to return to again and again, but I am grateful to the Universe and the cities that I had a good time and experienced absolutely new feelings and emotions for me💙"
