What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sudzhuk Spit is praised for its expansive, clean pebble beach and clear waters, often called one of Russia's best. Visitors appreciate the accessible paved promenade and the chance to observe wildlife in the lagoon. However, some find the beach can be overcrowded and note occasional unpleasant smells from seaweed.
"I took a walk along our spit today. I was pleasantly surprised. They've paved the side of the DTDM (now you can easily push a stroller with a child quite far). The beach is clean, and so is the water (even at this rainy time of year)."
Влад Поцебнев
"A wonderful corner of nature within the city limits of Novorossiysk. Sudzhukskaya Spit is experiencing excessive anthropogenic pressure. The beach (the best in the city) is overcrowded with vacationers (the territorial norm of beach per person is often not observed). The beach infrastructure here is not just well developed, it is too intrusive on the Aleksino side. Next to the beach on the Aleksino side there is a hypermarket and a new residential area. On the opposite side, on the site of the former floodplains, a residential area has also grown. The local dolphinarium, which is a giant ugly rusty barrel, is undergoing repairs this season. The advantages of Sudzhukskaya Spit: unique landscape, clean air, natural large-pebble beach, convenient location, normal transport accessibility."

"Sudzhuk Spit is a long strip of land between the sea and the lagoon. On the seaward side is Sudzhuk Spit Beach. On the lagoon side is a lake overgrown with reeds, home to ducks and swans. By the end of May, the ducks have hatched their ducklings and are teaching them how to live in the lagoon. It's fascinating to watch their behavior."
