"We were walking on this bridge over the Neva River back to our car when the weather suddenly changed, and we got caught in extremely strong wind and rain. It was quite unpleasant, but it is so typical for St. Petersburg weather to do that, that we just had to experience that first hand."
Evgeniya Bozhko (KoriAndrTheCat)
"This is a bascule bridge which crosses the Neva River in St. Petersburg. Itwas built in 1903 to celebrate the 200th birthday of the city and is 582 meters long.
The Trinity Bridge links Suvorovskaya Square with Trinity Square and is a good way to visit the Peter and Paul Fortress if you are staying in a hotel in the main tourist area on the south side of the river.
We also enjoyed the Art Nouveau design of the bridge which can be seen in the many ornate lampposts which stretch the length of the bridge on both sides. There are impressive rostral columns to see as well."
