Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Alexandrinsky Theatre for its beautiful architecture and the magical experience of watching performances like 'Swan Lake.' While some find the interior a bit warm and note limited views from certain balcony seats, the overall sentiment is highly positive, highlighting it as a must-visit cultural gem in St. Petersburg.
"A beautiful and well maintained old theatre. We had difficulty in finding tickets online, it looked as if all seats were sold, however we went directly to the box office at the theatre and managed to get fantastic seats 4 rows from the stage. I think that many tickets sold online are through agents who are only given a selection, so don't despair if you can't find anything, even on the theatres website. If you attend the 1pm performance with children, know that many Russian families take snacks of bread and fruit so feel free to do the same, in the passages. The balcony seats to the left and right have very limited views and most people were standing. See photo for example. The performance of Swan Lake was amazing and magical."

"Good place. A bit old style. However too hot inside. Otherwise good theatre to enjoy a Russian ballet"

"Saw Swan Lake as part of our tour. I'm no judge of ballet, but it seemed very good. The auditorium was beautiful, but getting in and out was a little difficult."
