What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the Rostov-on-Don Botanical Garden SFedU for its natural beauty, diverse plant life, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for relaxation and picnics. However, some reviews point to areas needing maintenance, such as broken paths and litter, and the abandoned state of certain structures like greenhouses.
"I haven't been here for four years. It seems to me that it has become worse. The road to the main gate is broken. Parking is only on the side of the road. A ticket for one person is 150 rubles. The paths are mostly dirt. Lots of garbage and some kind of abandonment. But there are beautiful places. There are schemes for the waste heap route, but there are no signs or marks of intermediate points. I would really like improvements"
Андрей Смирнов
"A great place that every Rostovite knows. The territory houses the SFedU research center with greenhouses, and in the central part there are benches, urns, paved paths and much more. Admission is free. The botanical garden also offers excursions (you can find out about this on the spot and on the botanical garden website). One of the most famous places in the summer is the spring. People often go there for picnics and photo sessions.
In general, there is a place to wander and enjoy nature."
Daria Shchyogoleva (Tereznikova)
"A great place for Sunday relaxation or weekday walks, for photo sessions. It looks like a huge old park, with descents, ascents. There is a picturesque pond and a stream. Unfortunately, an abandoned greenhouse complex. Price 150 rubles for an adult, children free."
