Reviews Summary

The Paramonov Warehouses are a historically significant site, admired for their atmospheric ruins and unique past as a grain storage and natural cooling system. Visitors are drawn to their photogenic qualities, but many lament the current state of disrepair, litter, and the loss of the original water features.

"I am very upset that the dam was demolished and there is no more water in the warehouses, it is a pity that the authorities do not want to improve this place and make it safe, instead they can only destroy historical monuments. When there was water there it was very beautiful, it was emerald, now it only gushes out of iron pipes (very "beautiful"). Is it really impossible to make beautiful taps, clean the warehouses, re-string the top properly, or close it so that people do not climb there, write warnings, fines and return the water? It would be simply an amazing memorial place if someone cared about it, it is a pity. I hope not all is lost."

Ann Ber

"The Paramonov warehouses are a cult place in Rostov-on-Don. Absolutely everyone knows them. And even if you haven't been there, you've heard about them.
At the moment, this is a complex of dilapidated warehouse buildings, one of which is in use and was recently reconstructed, built in the mid- to late 19th century. The warehouses were intended for storing grain, which was then poured onto barges. Previously, there was a famous bathhouse here, but in 2016 it was dismantled, and the passage to the warehouses was closed. Now a small spring flows next to which greenery grows almost constantly. They say that the local springs have a temperature of 18 degrees all year round - hence the greenery.
Despite the fact that the buildings have the status of a Historical and Architectural Monument of Federal Significance, they are either "rebuilt" or even demolished and the city "delighted" with another hotel and restaurants.
Unfortunately, the townspeople continue to contribute to the destruction of the buildings - garbage is constantly present here. And in general, the place is unkempt, which is a pity."

"It used to be better when there was a dam and everyone could swim and bathe, now even though the source has been removed into a pipe, a stream still flows here and there. There is a lot of garbage"
