Best Footwear and Gear

Sturdy hiking boots are essential for navigating the rocky terrain, especially the 'kurum' (stone field) near the summit. Trekking poles are highly recommended for stability and reducing strain, particularly on the 12km ascent from Tyulyuk. Pack layers, as weather can change rapidly, and bring at least 1-1.5 liters of water, though springs are available along the trail.

Timing Your Ascent

Summer offers beautiful hiking through forests and to the summit, with pleasant temperatures. Winter ascents are a serious test of endurance, with extreme cold and snow. Starting your hike in the morning is advised to allow ample time for the 2.5-3 hour climb and descent, avoiding potential afternoon rain or fog.

Reviews Summary

Mount Iremel is celebrated for its stunning natural beauty and rewarding hiking experience, especially in summer. Visitors praise the incredible panoramic views from the summit and the scenic trails through the Ural forests. While the climb can be challenging, particularly the 'kurum' section, the sense of accomplishment and the breathtaking scenery make it a highly recommended destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

"A beautiful place. Went backpacking there on horseback as a teenager way back in ‘99. Incredible views and experience."

Natalya Shoror

"It was my first hiking experience and everything went perfect .
The place is beautiful specially in summer
Everything is there to make your outing experience memorable"

Dev Raj

"Beautiful places! Definitely worth visiting, but for those who are into sports.
The climb seems not difficult from the photos (reviews), but it has difficulties...
Trekking poles, shoes, a light jacket, 1-1.5 liters of water with you are a must!!! (You can collect water from a spring along the way)
I went for the first time (and in general the first time on foot to the top) - from the village of Tyulyuk to the top 12 km and back to the entrance to the park 6 km, in total I walked 18 km on August 26, 2025 without poles.
Back together with other participants on a loaf from the park to the village of Tyulyuk - then Ufa...
It is better to start in the morning... if there is no rain. The climb takes 2.5-3 hours, if you are fast (trained) 2 hours... Back 2...
The climb is 2.5 - 3 thousand rubles, back the same....
4 stars - access from the city of Yuryuzan is complicated by repair work on the road (30 km of crushed stone). Perhaps they will finish it in 2026 (if there is funding).... I drove on 08/26/2025, rain and fog. And the M5 highway is excellent asphalt (in some places there are uneven surfaces). Ufa - Yuryuzan flew in one breath (beautiful places along the road)."
