What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Krasnaya Glinka Ski Area is a well-regarded local spot offering diverse slopes and beautiful views, especially from Mount Kuznetsova. While praised for its year-round appeal and affordability, particularly on weekdays, some visitors note issues with worn rental equipment and a pervasive smoking problem that detracts from the fresh air experience.
"Do you know WHAT???
Holidays in our time even within the Samara region have become incredibly expensive!
You want beautiful views and a pool in the heat, more often b…..
But what to do????
And then we visit
a wonderful location Ski complex "SOK"
It turns out that you can relax here now at any time of the year.
Lucky, so lucky!!!
And the cost is only 500 rubles for a 5-hour adult weekday ticket! 700 rubles on weekends!
There is a children's room 🧸, a restaurant 🍽️."

"A wonderful place, of course not Rosa Khutor, but for Samara which is located on the plain - the best!)) Many different trails, for easy and simple descent (for beginners), for sharp and extreme riding (for professionals), to suit every taste. Nearby is a nice, small village Krasnaya Glinka, which can be reached by bus: 1; 51; 50. From the top of Mount Kuznetsova, there are gorgeous views of the village itself, the Volga and the neighboring mountains. Cons:
1) In winter, especially on holidays, there are a lot of people, because of this there are long queues;
2) Worn-out rental equipment (I took a snowboard, one binding worked poorly, I had to check it often and it was clear from the snowboard itself that it had been ridden for 10 years, if not more)."

"Excellent ski resort. Not big, but very neat. The management is trying very hard to make it better year after year, and it shows. Thank you! There is one thing, BUT. IT'S VERY INCREDIBLE BY THE WHITE WHO SMOKES EVERYWHERE, IN FRONT OF THE CAFE, IN FRONT OF THE BUGGLES, ON THE BUGGLES WHILE DRIVING, AT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN! You come for a ride and breathe fresh air, and there are these stinkers everywhere! Make a special pen for them! Let them stink in there. I remind you that this is a public place and a sports facility; smoking is prohibited by federal law throughout the entire territory, including the parking lot."

Navigating the Slopes
While the resort is praised for its variety, it's important to note that on busy days, especially holidays, queues can form due to the number of visitors. The management is noted for continuously improving the resort year after year, indicating a commitment to enhancing the visitor experience.
For those looking for a specific type of experience, the presence of a chairlift, which operates on weekends, adds another dimension to accessing the slopes. This can be particularly useful for reaching higher points or for a more relaxed ascent.
Beyond Winter: Year-Round Appeal
During warmer months, the resort features amenities like a pool, providing a refreshing escape. This makes it a versatile destination for families and individuals looking for outdoor activities and relaxation within the Samara region. The beautiful natural surroundings, including views of the Volga River, contribute to its appeal across different seasons.
The affordability of the resort, particularly during weekdays, extends to its off-season offerings. This makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers looking for a pleasant break without extensive travel.
Community Concerns: Smoking and Rentals
Another area for improvement highlighted by guests is the condition of the rental equipment. While rentals are available, some users have reported issues with worn-out gear, such as bindings on snowboards. This can detract from the experience and potentially pose safety concerns. The cost of replacement parts, like straps, has also been noted as high compared to their market value, leading to some dissatisfaction with the perceived greed at the box office.
Despite these issues, the overall sentiment towards the resort's management is positive, with recognition for their efforts to improve the facility annually. Addressing the smoking policy and investing in updated rental equipment would significantly enhance the overall visitor satisfaction.
