What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Gorky Park for its beautiful landscaping, vast green spaces, and the picturesque Moskva River embankment, making it a wonderful place for relaxation and recreation. The park's transformation through the seasons, especially its winter ice rink and festive decorations, is a major highlight. However, some reviews mention that certain areas, like the stadium, have undergone changes that have impacted the atmosphere for traditional sports events.
"Honestly, whoever is involved in landscaping and decides what will happen, studied in the desert and made a desert out of the stadium. They cut down huge poplars that provided shade and air. It's good that they drove out the wild dogs, otherwise it was not safe to run."
Валерий Федоров
"An excellent facility for sports and mass events, there is a decent area around the bowl, where trees grow and there is an exit to the embankment, this applies to the facility itself. But the stadium as a venue for football matches is dead, the last game I was at gathered 500 spectators, the stadium is simply empty, and there were times when it was filled to 90-100% for more than one match in a row, then the spectators supported the team and at the same time relaxed - drank beer, ate, talked to each other. And now even a bottle of water of 1 liter or more cannot be brought into the stadium. Everyone has already forgotten about beer ..."
Mikhail Plavinsky
"Average attendance is 3.5 people. The pre-match check lasts 3.5 hours."
