What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tuzla Beach is praised for its stunning turquoise waters and semi-wild, tranquil atmosphere, offering a beautiful escape. However, visitors often note the high prices for services, the rocky sea entry, and occasional issues with algae, making it more of a scenic spot than a prime swimming destination for some.
"Lovely place. Quiet and secluded. The cars cannot be parked very close from the beach but the walk from the road to the beach is worthwhile."
Georgiana G.
"Really nice beach! Not too crowded, and you have a few bars/restaurants to get something refreshing. Worth to visit!"
Graham Visser
"I was there yesterday. The place is beautiful, but that is it. The entrance to the sea is horrible, full of rocks and shells, no sand. Now due to the temperature of water the shore is full of seaweeds which are never cleaned.
The prices are cosmic.
Umbrella is 100 lei per person! No, it is not a misstype, it is 100 lei per person.
We were six people, two children included, and decided just to put a towel, but the staff came and asked us to pay for umbrella, which is illegal, cause the beach is not private, but public.
Toilet is 5 lei.
Half a litre bottle of plain mineral water is 10 lei.
The way down to the beach is dusty and I can break your legs there on rocks, mind this.
This place is good to visit when the season is finished as a good location for photosets, or just romantic walks, but not as a spot to swim.
The only advantage of this place is a children's playground (free, sponsored by Lidl), where children can stay in shade, draw, play toys and paint the shells and rocks.
Will never go there again. Horrible service, huge prices and terrible swimming experience."

The Allure of Tuzla's Turquoise Waters
To best appreciate this natural wonder, visiting during the early morning or late afternoon can offer optimal lighting conditions. The semi-wild nature of the beach means fewer artificial structures to obstruct the view, allowing the natural beauty of the sea to take center stage. Remember that the seabed is rocky, so while the view is stunning, swimming requires caution and ideally, water shoes.
Navigating Tuzla Beach: Access and Amenities
While you won't find rows of sunbeds and umbrellas managed by a single entity, there are beach clubs and restaurants that offer these services, often at a premium price. Visitors have reported high costs for umbrella rentals (up to 100 lei per person) and refreshments. A free children's playground, sponsored by Lidl, is also available, offering a shaded area for younger visitors.
The Tuzla Beach Experience: Beyond the Swim
For adventure seekers, nearby skydiving opportunities add an adrenaline rush to the coastal visit. However, for those prioritizing a smooth swimming experience, the rocky entry and occasional presence of algae might be a drawback. Many visitors suggest that Tuzla is best enjoyed for its scenic beauty and peaceful atmosphere, especially outside the peak summer season when crowds and prices are lower.
