What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Repedea Hill Nature Reserve is lauded for its unique geological formations, featuring ancient marine fossils, and its breathtaking panoramic views of Iași, especially stunning at sunset and night. However, visitors frequently note the challenging road access, recommending vehicles with high ground clearance for a smoother journey.
"I only found out recently about this little gem just sitting there, next to a popular weekend hangout place near the communications relay above the city.
Prehistoric calcarous rocks expose the layers and petrified sea shells, living proof that the entire area was millions of years ago a massive sea bed. There is also a small cave you can walk into and very close by there is an unexpected mini-forest of olive (!?) trees that just happened to be in bloom when we visited."

"We had a fabulous sunset at the Repedea Reserve. It's a shame that from the car to the promenade the sun moved faster than us and was in a hurry to disappear, but we managed to get a half-time lapse. The experience is worth it with all our heart: the city of Iași looks amazing at night. Next time I come back here, I'll come 30 minutes earlier to catch that wonderful time-lapse.
The location deserves more than 5 stars on Google Maps!"
