What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Oradea Railway Station is a functional but often criticized transport hub, frequently described as dirty with unpleasant odors and poor restroom facilities. While it offers basic amenities like Wi-Fi and lockers, travelers strongly advise managing expectations and booking tickets online. The station's main drawback is its lack of cleanliness, contrasting sharply with the beautiful Art Nouveau city it serves.
"Alright let’s get something out if the way, the city is a tourist trap that tries so hard to be medieval while it’s in fact Art Nouveau. 2 streets of it to be precise, the rest is hot garbage and trust me I’ve lived there for the last 7 years at the date of writing this. Restaurants and nightlife are decent though. But this is about the railway station: it’s filthy, it reeks of dirt, body odour of weary travellers (and mostly homeless folks), the toilets look like you’ve got seconds until something springs up from it and bite you, the bar reeks of spoiled beer and cheap hooch year around and
during the night it’s very likely that at least one huge cockroach is gonna drop on your head (I forgot how many times it happened, to the point where I actively avoid standing under any covered area) the personnel is utterly incompetent to the point that I began reserving my tickets online (which is a whole another slog but that’s another story). They’ll genuinely tell you with a straight face to come for tickets yesterday. And I wasn’t even speaking English to them. Just avoid this place entirely"

"No elevator between platforms, but you don’t need to go through underway as well. Lockers equipped(storage maximum for 48 hours, contact card okay). Waiting hall is open from 6 to 24 pm. Wifi available and usable."
