Housed in a beautifully preserved medieval building in the heart of Iași, the museum showcases an impressive and valuable collection of manuscripts, old books and religious artifacts. "Although it is marked as closed, the museum has been open for a year and a half now after one year of renovation.
Although small it is quite impressive for its collection of books dating back to the 16th century they are some of the most representative books for Romanian culture.
The entry fee is adequate for what you get especially because the lady guide there will fill you in with a lot of details and will make what is a small museum seem like a History lesson (I doubt she speaks English or anything but Romanian, though).
Sadly, taking pictures is not allowed in the price of the ticket, you have to pay extra a rather prohibitive amount."

A Glimpse into Old Romanian Literature
