"Charming and Full of Soul – A Special Spot in Constanța
Ovidius Square is one of my favorite places in Constanța. I love that it honors the poet Ovid, and there’s something special about sitting on one of the benches and just reflecting: on life, on the world, and even on the people passing by. 😅
The area has a festive, vibrant atmosphere, with lots of charming cafés nearby where you can relax and soak it all in. One of the hidden gems for me were the ancient funerary plaques, not many people seem to notice them, but I found them truly fascinating.
The building behind the statue (which I believe is a museum) is absolutely beautiful and adds to the historical feel of the square. Plus, it’s in a great location, just a short walk away from the port, the famous Casino, and the mosque.
Definitely a place to stop, breathe, and take in the layers of history and life all around you."
