What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviewers consistently praise the Valea Jepilor trail for its spectacular mountain scenery and challenging, rewarding hike. However, many caution that it's a difficult trail, not suitable for beginners or those with a fear of heights, and strongly advise checking weather conditions before attempting it.
"Amazing hike, but very difficult. Do not try if the weather is bad, or if you're not in great shape. Took me 4 hours with a relatively fast pace. No bears encountered."
Semion Vino
"absolutely beautiful trek, first half is typical but the last 1/3 can be quite difficult, some large rock to get over but chains were well placed and maintained
3.5 hours up for me"
Tom King
"Very nice hike when starting in Busteni. We parked the car right at the start of the trail. A park ranger was also stationed here. He told us the trail is difficult but manageable. Bears are of course a risk, but if you make noise in the dense forest and if you ziplock your food, you should be okay! We didn’t encounter any bears luckily. The trail is 5.5 km according to my Apple Watch, and the elevation gain is around 900 meters. It took us about 3 hours. I have vertigo and especially the start in the forest and the end near the cabin were difficult for me, but always manageable thanks to cables and broad pathways. It is a spectacular hike with amazing views. So if you like hiking, this is a must do! We went back to the parking place with the cable car, really nice!"
