Blue Beach (Playa La Chiva) is widely praised as an unbelievable gem with stunningly clear, calm turquoise waters and soft white sand, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Visitors appreciate the shallow areas and the peaceful ambiance, though some caution about sandburrs and the rough access roads. Arriving early is highly recommended for the best experience.
"La Chiva is an unbelievable gem of a beach, a long stretch of curved shoreline somewhat sheltered from strong waves by it’s shape and barrier islands. The clear, turquoise water and extensive shallows invite swimming and snorkeling. The sand is soft and medium-fine. There are several picnic pavilions along the beach.
Beware of sandburrs especially along the vegetation line, we were painfully pricked a number of times and found stowaways in our towels.
We made it there on golf kart no problem."

"Paradise! No words can capture the beauty here. Tip: arrive early and be the first to secure a spot. We were the first at around 9 am and had our pick of spots; by the time we left at 2 pm parking was a bit crowded. Clean white sands, clear water, fish swimming along with you, scenic beauty all around. Just stunning."

"I can’t get over how beautiful this beach is. I’m typically cautious with the ocean, but the waves were unbelievably calm and extremely peaceful. The beach itself is so clean and the water is just so crystal clear. There’s a vast area that’s very shallow and the sand is so soft. 10/10 experience & would come back again & again!
Getting there is a bit rough, so make sure to get a car that is able to handle rough terrain. But the parking itself is nice because there are little sections 1-however many you can back up into and there is a little pathway going into the beach."
