Reviews Summary
Isla de Cardona is praised as a beautiful, clean island gem with clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Visitors love the historic lighthouse and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great day trip destination. However, the lack of facilities means visitors must come fully prepared with all necessities.
"We took a day trip with Waterland Adventures out of Ponce and it was the perfect getaway. The waters surrounding the tiny island are clear and calm. The snorkelling was OK, still recovering from Maria, but there were lots of little fish to see and it was nice snorkelling around in the balmy waters. The island is a tourist stop, but it is kept very clean. You'll enjoy walking the trails through the sea grapes, climbing to the top of the cute little lighthouse, and circumnavigating the island on your own. It's peaceful and very good for the soul."

"It's a tiny beautiful island, the trip from La Guancha is only 7 minutes long. It has a lighthouse. The beach is gorgeous. 🌴"

"Isla Cardona is a gem! Make a point to visit this island. Aside from being small, it is occasionally a second option for those that can't find a way to Caja Muertos. This island does not have any shopping, restrooms, picnic tables or docks. Bring you own chairs, coolers, mini grills, and sunscreen! Just a short 5 minute boat ride from La Guancha. There is a ferry company that will make 3 stops per day, with unlimited bags, etc."
