What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Parque de las Ciencias beautiful with engaging exhibits, especially for families. However, some feel the $25 admission is steep given occasional issues with non-operational exhibits and perceived understaffing. The park offers a mix of educational content, seasonal entertainment, and unique photo opportunities.
"It used to be educational now it’s just a money grab for other businesses to sell you things!
I gave 3 stars just because the park is pretty but I am a Bayamón born and raised so I have a strong review: Park is beautiful, downside is honestly Toro Verde management and employees —we spent around 4 hours and had not a single guide, ZERO 0️⃣ guides, some exhibits were either turned off or did not work, we had to beg an employee to bring someone to fix one of the kid sand tables and by the time they came we waited too long and moved on. We would not be too picky if the entrance fee was not that expensive but for $25 you honestly expect more. The space exhibit is very underwhelming the only fun / engaging exhibit is the sea/underwater exhibit. I would come again if :
1) they hire more staff + have guides or just motivated employees (a lot of them were just sitting on their phones)
2) fix exhibits / turn them on work and take off the CAFRE hand written cards that say “ No Tocar” it’s not professional just have guides to give you the rules
3) add more rides the whole park is too passive and it’s strange since Toro Verde is known for zip lining like what’s going on do better.
Como dicen en PR : que fracaso, da bochorno."

"Had such a fun time they have great exhibits and so many people who are so smart and know so much about the different exhibits. Such a nice place to go with family members of all ages. I will say parking is quite hard when there are a lot of people. I worked at the nearby mall and walked as it was free. I wish they had more exhibits and experiences as I wish I could have spent more time there."

"We visited this place as a family on a weekday and it was almost empty. The staff was incredible and you can tell that they are there because they love their jobs and educating patrons. Well worth the price and my husband and I were able to enjoy the park and learn just as much as our son was. We also purchased pure honey from the isla and got a couple of pina coladas, which were great. Can’t wait to recommend this place to friends and family."

While the park has undergone renovations and reopened, some visitors have noted that certain exhibits may be turned off or not fully functional, leading to a less than ideal experience for the admission price. Navigating the Park and Its Management
Management of the park, particularly under Toro Verde, has received mixed reviews. While the park itself is described as beautiful, some guests have expressed disappointment with the staffing levels and employee engagement, noting that some staff members appeared disengaged or were on their phones. There have also been comments about exhibits not working or being poorly maintained, with handwritten 'Do Not Touch' signs being seen as unprofessional. For a $25 entrance fee, visitors expect a higher level of service and operational exhibits.
Despite some criticisms, many families report that their children thoroughly enjoyed the park. The animal exhibits are generally well-kept, and the overall cleanliness of the park is often praised. The ice cream is also a popular treat. The park's commitment to offering diverse experiences, from educational exhibits to seasonal entertainment, aims to cater to a wide audience, though consistency in execution remains a point of feedback for improvement.
