Reviews Summary
WOW Porto is a modern cultural hub praised for its impressive architecture, stunning river views, and diverse museum offerings, particularly the Wine and Chocolate Experiences. While some find it a bit pricey and critique the historical exhibition's narrative, many appreciate the value of day tickets and the vibrant atmosphere, especially during sunset.
"Wine museum was just an amazing experience! We loved the details, the technology, the art work, the majesty, the information and know how in wine this museum has to offer the visitors.
Incredible surprise when visiting the Porto wine caves where you can find this secluded area specialised in all Portugal wine regions."

"The good part: the ensemble of buildings is very well rebuilt and restored, it’s really great that it was saved and preserved for visitors. The view is nice and the restaurants seem to have good offers for their guests.
The bad part: tickets for 1 experience/museum cost 20€ per person, 2 experiences cost 34€. The wine used for the very basic wine tasting at the end of the Wine experience was really young and not interesting (cca. 0,05 cl white wine, 0,05 cl red wine, 0,05 cl port wine).
The ugly: The historical experience about the city of Porto is quite superficial and almost doesn’t mention the colonial era of the country. It perpetuates colonial and imperial narratives and does not reflect newer perspectives on this period. The exhibition is very new, so this was disappointing for me. Dear WOW crew, you can do better and show the history of Porto in a more modern and adequate way."

"A really well thought out and comprehensive museum which guides you through the world of wine in all its aspects. The wine tasting at the end was an added bonus and the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The shop is great too. I bought the day ticket which gives you access to seven nearby and very diverse museums - including those focussed on rose wine, the history of cork and chocolate! The ticket is great value and you could easily spend a day taking in all the sites. Highly recommended!"
