What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Viana section of the Portuguese Coastal Way for its historical significance and the welcoming nature of its staff, particularly at the Casa dos Nichos museum. The interactive exhibits and informative films are highly appreciated. However, some note the scarcity of pilgrim essentials like walking sticks and sandals in local stores.
"Talked with Guilherme for quite a bit on the history of the center and the creation of the stamp for the pilgrim credential.
The place is quite beautiful on the inside and it is very well cared for.
They did their best on attempting to help the pilgrims that arrived here, namely with the scarce resources of walking sticks, pilgrim sandals and things of that kind (they were missing in all the stores of the town at the time I am writing this review).
Hope to see the reviews for this place grow and to see these issues being solved. It is a beautiful stopping place but it should have a little bit more care towards the pilgrims that decide to do the coastal way."

"We were recommended to visit this space in the Casa dos Nichos museum, and as soon as we entered, we were guided through the entire grounds, including the gallery and the interactive exhibit with explanations of the Portuguese Way to Santiago de Compostela and the history of the city throughout history. The two women who greeted us at the museum went out of their way to provide us with information and treated us extremely well. They were truly friendly and professional. A very pleasant experience. Thank you for your interest in serving us so kindly!"
