What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Praia dos Coelhos is a highly praised, secluded beach known for its stunning natural beauty, clear waters, and soft white sand. While the hike and lack of facilities require preparation, visitors find the effort well worth it for a tranquil, unspoiled experience. Some find the access challenging, and parking can be an issue during peak times.
"Absolutely in love with this beach. Small and cosy, without any facilities and crowds, only you and the nature. The road to the beach is a little bit demanding but definitely worth it. The best time is early in the morning or after 3m because it’s only one road to this and several beaches around and if the road starts to get crowded police block it. We came around 3pm and the road was blocked, I approached them and asked when they will release the road and they say one hour minimum. We parked and start to think what shall we do and in that 20 minutes while we were thinking 10 cars went out and police let us and couple of more parked cars, we were so lucky."

"To get to the beach you need to leave your car in the parking lot near the path. Parking in June 2024 cost €5 for the whole day. The descent to the beach takes place along the green trail on Google Maps, about 15 minutes down, don't stray from the path or you will reach another beach, there are plenty of paths in this place. Coelhos Beach with its white sand is wonderful!"

"Not difficult to get there, but you need to be able to walk on rocky terrain for 15 minutes, I guess that's why when we arrived it was just 3 other couples (during a weekday). The water is clean and the imagery makes you think you're in the Mediterranean sea"
