Praia do Zavial is a serene and beautiful beach, praised for its consistent surf, spacious sands, and dramatic cliff scenery. "A serene, less-crowded beach on the southern edge of the Costa Vicentina in the Algarve, offering a blend of golden sands, dramatic cliffs, and clear blue waters.
It’s a favorite among surfers thanks to consistent waves, but it’s also perfect for those seeking a peaceful beach day away from the tourist-packed hotspots. The beach is spacious, with enough room to stretch out and find a bit of privacy even during summer. The surrounding cliffs provide natural wind protection and gorgeous viewpoints for coastal photos.
There’s a small beachside café that serves cold drinks, snacks, and simple but tasty meals—perfect for a laid-back lunch with an ocean view. Parking can be limited, especially during peak hours, so it’s wise to come early.
Whether you’re surfing, swimming, sunbathing, or just enjoying the natural landscape, Praia do Zavial offers a quieter and more rugged slice of Algarve coastline that’s well worth the detour."

"Great beach, especially during low tide. Lots of space, convenient access and good parking. Really nice restaurant that serves quality food - cash only but there is an ATM in front of the restaurant. The east part of the beach attracts some naturists but the beach is long and wide enough to accommodate textile folks, also families. We really enjoyed this place and after visiting plenty of local beaches this is in our top 5."

"Beautiful coves on the eastern side (to the far left when facing the sea). Watch out for tide times though, you may get stuck and find it very difficult to find your way back or get in the way of the waves which can reach in some point quite into the coves/beaches. Naturist areas are those past the first rocks to the left. The wind got very strong in the afternoon and made us leave. You can park at the main beach where the restaurant is."
