"Go to the museum first to acquire an understanding of the significance and the curator will give a tour of the archeological site. This is a 4th Century site of a rich Roman land owner. The museum is small but interesting. There is not much to see on the actual site, but it is interesting. They think that part of the house held a place of Christian worship because it was built like a basilica. The house is has an unusual shape not characteristic of the western Roman Empire."

"An amazing (new) museum off he beaten track with many artifacts from the Roman era.
A guide took us through the museum (in the center of town) and then offered to take us to the archeological site. We followed in our car to the site about 5 km away.
The excavated ruins of a very wealthy Roman family were exposed and our guide explained the layout and Roman planning of rooms. The floors were sand, we thought, and then he scooped an area away to expose some very intact and intricate mosaics. He indicated most of the mosaic floors suffered little damage. We would love to see everything exposed but they need to fund a structure to protect the excavation. It was a wonderful experience made even better by having a private archeologist/guide.
There are ongoing excavations at other buildings nearby.
We did not see anything related to Space at the museum."
