"We arrived at 7 before dawn and it was perfect. We where the first to arrive at the parking lot, so i picked out a great place near the exit.
Its a nice quiet walk down to the waterfall itself.
When we arrived we had the waterfall all to ourselves wich was amazing.
Definitely recommend to come before 8.
After the hike we arrived back at the parking lot it was full of cars and tourists everywhere. Great hike but come EARLY!"

"There are a few uphill pieces that can tax the untrained cardio, but it's safe, we'll traveled traveled should be doable by most people without too much difficulty.
There are a couple of waterfalls at the end of trails.
Parking at the summit is an absolute nightmare, so best to come early and get a spot that's easy to depart from. Even if there are parking spots in the lot, street parking is probably easiest to get in and out."

"Don’t park near the Calheta way if you are looking for an easy hike. It’s the longer way to the falls. And your shoes may get all wet if you use the tunnel for a short cut. Quite a bit of claim to the cafe too. Use the other car park that has a mini bus service to the cafe if you prefer less trouble. At the cafe you are looking at around €6 per sandwich. The cafe has great service. The sandwich tasted nice. The route from Cafe to Risco waterfall is largely flat and easy. The seemingly easier way to 25 Fontes was closed at the time I visited so you will need to take the steep route. It gets slippery even on a sunny day so take the right shoes and equipment for safety. I think the view at Risco was nicer than 25 Fontes. So if you only have time/energy for one thing or just want a leisurely walk, then I’d say go for Risco."
