Reviews Summary
Praia dos Ingleses is praised for its stunning sunset views and peaceful atmosphere, offering a unique experience with its rocky outcrops and tidal pools. While some find the pebbly sand and strong waves less ideal for traditional beach activities, many appreciate its natural beauty and photographic potential, especially during golden hour. Its accessibility by bus is also a plus for visitors from Porto.
"Catching golden hour at Praia dos Ingleses was unexpectedly moving. The light spills gently across the shoreline, bathing the rocks in soft amber tones that feel almost surreal. It’s the kind of place that slows you down and invites a bit of quiet reflection—even a touch of romance, if you’re in the right mood.
The beach is clean, peaceful, and not at all crowded, even with such a beautiful view. Whether you're walking, watching the tide roll in, or just soaking in the atmosphere, it has a stillness that stays with you. If you’re into photography, bring your camera—the light and textures here are something special."

"Easily accessible by bus, as it is right along the busy main road....so traffic noise too. The beach is very narrow, gravelly not fine soft sands, and with strong waves, lots of rocky outcrops... and your feet sink in deep upto your ankles when walking. Not the best if you are looking for fine soft sands and beach games and gentle waves or gettingin the water. The waves are too strong. However, this place is great to watch waves crash on the many rocky outcrops along the beach. As the evening progresses, the waves recede exposing many more rocky platforms that soon become shallow tidal pools. Lots of pretty algae and tiny colorful stones. And if you like to watch the sun setting into the water, this place is perfect. Better still you can walk towards lighthouse and watch the sunset over the ocean horizon from there. The WC at the beach locks at 7pm. No restaurants right on the beach, but one can go to the ones up on the road."

"One of the best spots in Porto to watch the sunset.
The light hits the waves just right, and the sky turns into a painting every evening. Peaceful, clean, and not too crowded — perfect for a quiet walk or just sitting and taking it all in. Highly recommend coming here around golden hour!"
