What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Praia do Alemão is praised for its stunning natural beauty, particularly its dramatic cliffs and sea caves, offering breathtaking views and opportunities for exploration. Visitors appreciate the soft, deep sand and the chance to witness spectacular sunsets. However, some find the beach can get busy, and sandflies can be a nuisance.
"Lovelly clean beach with deep soft sand for lieing on. Plagued by sandals dispite having spray to ward them off. Water is deep in a short space of time so it was very good for a quick cool off. Don't forget your insect repellant"

"Beautiful beach. It does get busy, we hired two chairs and an umbrella for €20 for the day. The bar has alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks for sale. Under €10 it’s cash, over and you can use card. If you hire a chair you get to use a portaloo which is normally locked to the public. Much nicer than the other public one."

"Awesome little beach. Plenty of free parking (especially if you show up before 9am). A walk down the hill takes you down to the beach. Just be aware of whether it is high or low tide! The further to the east you go, the harder it may be to leave the beach during the high tide."
