What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Ecovia do Lima for its beautiful riverside scenery and pleasant cycling and walking paths, especially around Ponte de Lima. However, some sections, particularly between Ponte de Lima and Ponte de Barca, are noted for their rough terrain and potential for flooding, making them less enjoyable for casual riders.
"Great trail along the Lima for walking, running or cycling. We rented Treking bikes. It was a great ride and surprisingly not flat."
Alan Zube
"A beautiful walking or biking trail in the friendly north of Portugal"
Erik Somoroff
"The section on the South side of the river between Ponte de Lima and Ponte de Barca is only real suitable for gravel bikes or MTBs. Today (4 Oct) it was flooded in places, lots of thorny branches overhanging and had a very poor surface. It’s not a relaxing ride as you have to concentrate so hard on the surface. We left the trail at half way to Barca and used the road. Very disappointing."
