What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Magikland Silay is a beloved family destination, especially for those with young children, offering a nostalgic amusement park experience with rides and pools. While some find the park's condition and theme consistency lacking, many appreciate its well-maintained vintage charm and the joy it brings to kids. Be prepared for the heat and consider bringing your own food for a more enjoyable visit.
"The kids had a blast!
Buying tickets was easy and fast. Although there were lots of summer camp groups, there was no wait to buy tickets ir enter the gates.
Amusement park looks like it peaked in the 70s, and has been living off its investments from that. however, the park isn’t great condition, and it is clear that they take great care of it. It was wonderful, because it truly is vintage, and a step back in time.
This amusement park is geared towards small children, it is not an area for adults, although there are rights adults may go on. We had our five year-old twins, and they had a blast!
From an adult perspective, the park seems to lack any identity, as the “lands” had teams such as pirates, Africa, and Disney? They really didn’t do a good job, unifying their themes.
Would the cost of admission being as high as it is, you think they would be investing a little bit more into updating rides or adding more to the park. That’s what I was disappointed with, the cost versus the availability of new rides.
You also have to use Google maps to get there, there is absolutely no signage until you’re one traffic circle away. This is a typical field of most Portuguese businesses. I’m not sure if it has to do with laws, but trying to find anything without Google maps is kind of almost impossible here.
There is one restaurant that offers cafeteria style food, which actually was decent. All of the other stands offer ice cream and basic cafeteria options.
It is very hot here, make sure you have plenty of water. Some of the attractions have no shade for their line, so sunscreen is an absolute necessity.
On-site parking is free. We went at the end of July, and the parking lot was never full in the park was half empty. Very few rides had a wait longer than one ride turn.
If you have kids, I highly recommend this park. The girls had fun, and I can see this being an annual pilgrimage, next time with some friends!"

"After years visiting the park with my kids, this year has been very disappointing. They closed the self-service restaurant (which never was great) and it wasn't notified. Because of that, we had to wait for more than two hours just to eat two half-frozen pizzas and three quite bad hot dog. All the other food wasn't available. Small kids were super hungry and parents quite stressed.
They also had mechanical problems in several activities leading to long queues and a bit of mistrust in the safety measures.
All of this happened in September, I can't imagine how would be in July/August.
In summary, bring your own food and all your patience when visiting this place"

"A beautiful park that combines games, swimming pools, and some cafes. It is very suitable for families and children. You can spend a whole day without getting bored."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Young Children
To make the most of your family visit, consider packing plenty of snacks and drinks, as food options can be limited. Also, be prepared for the heat by bringing sunscreen and hats, as some waiting areas lack shade. Visiting on a weekday can help avoid large crowds, making the experience more enjoyable for little ones.
💰 Budget Travelers
To maximize value, aim for weekday visits when crowds are thinner, potentially reducing wait times for rides. Consider if the cost of admission aligns with the number of rides and attractions your group plans to utilize. For a more affordable experience, focus on enjoying the pools and the general atmosphere rather than solely on ride-intensive days.

In-depth insights and expert knowledge
A Nostalgic Amusement Park Experience
Despite the vintage feel, the park is equipped with a roller coaster, various fairground rides, and outdoor swimming pools, providing a full day of entertainment. The 'lands' within the park, though sometimes criticized for inconsistent themes (like pirates, Africa, and Disney), contribute to the eclectic and memorable experience. For families with young children, Magikland is a highly recommended destination, promising smiles and laughter.
When planning your visit, remember that the Philippine heat is a significant factor. Ample hydration and sun protection are non-negotiable, as some queues offer little to no shade. Visiting during weekdays or the shoulder seasons can significantly enhance your experience by minimizing crowds and wait times.
Navigating Food and Dining
Given these potential challenges, a common piece of advice from seasoned visitors is to bring your own food and drinks. This strategy not only ensures you have access to meals you enjoy but also helps manage costs, as some find the park's food prices high relative to the offerings. Packing a picnic or snacks can significantly improve the overall family experience, especially for younger children who may get hungry quickly.
If you do plan to eat at the park, it's wise to inquire about the current food availability upon arrival and be prepared for potential queues. However, for a stress-free and satisfying culinary experience, packing your own provisions is the most reliable approach.
