What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for Universidade da Beira Interior Polo I are mixed, with strong praise for the Museum of Textiles as an artistic and historical gem. However, international students and prospective visitors have reported significant issues with administrative support, slow processing times for documents, and a perceived lack of care from staff, leading some to advise others to 'stay away' due to poor service despite average education.
"If you are thinking of going to this university for your Erasmus year please DON’T, teachers are a disaster and don’t care about erasmus students at all (also they don’t care if you don’t understand their language you will have to do the same as your portuguese classmates)."
Annie Gomez Gomez
"I finally didn't make it to study at this university, due to the lack of support of the admin team.
An advice to international students: this university admits you to a class, but then will even not do the minimal steps to support you to get you there. In my case it took a couple of months until my name appeared on the list of the Portuguese authorities (DGES) which would have been responsible to proceed my name to the respective embassy. Without this, no visa.
Support in this issue? No or late answers to emails. Difficult to reach by phone - unfriendly, even when friends of mine wenn personally to the admin desk. So why do you admit international students, if you don't support them afterwards??"
