"We hiked about 7km from Farol de Alfanzina along the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, and it was absolutely incredible. The views of the cliffs, sea caves, and natural arches—especially the Benagil Cave from above—were unreal.
We hike a lot, and found the trail quite easy overall, though there are some steep sections. That said, the cliffs are massive and unguarded in many areas, so it’s definitely not a place to let your guard down.
It got really busy with tourists on the way back, so we grabbed an Uber instead of doubling back—which worked out great. One of the most scenic and memorable hikes we’ve done. Highly recommend."
