What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning, postcard-perfect views from the church overlooking the Ria Formosa, especially at sunset. The village's historic charm and the exceptional quality of fresh oysters are frequently praised. Some note that parking can be difficult and the walk from parking to the beach can be long, particularly for those with mobility issues or young children.
"It's the three day festival centered around the Church. A lot of fun. Go early to park for the field car park is also used by beach folk. Lots of families with younger children. Food and drink. Artisan Honey and the usual stalls selling unusual bric-a-bac. It's wonderful. Tickets not needed free entry. It can be a long walk from parking along the feeder roads. Thinking older generation and tiny ones."

"A beautiful, older church that has stunning views of the beach area. You can walk all around the church to see the different views, and walk around the area at the beautiful homes nearby.
Clearly this is way out of the normal path for most tourist, but if you happen to be in the area, it is well worth the stop. You won’t be disappointed."

"The old church sits high above the Rio Formosa providing spectacular views of the coastline. Next to the church is an amazing and uniquely Portuguese restaurant serving Prawns, Oysters and Ham."
