Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Underground City Wolin to be a worthwhile historical site, particularly for its Cold War atmosphere and displays of tanks and weapons. However, the experience can be hampered by a language barrier as tours are primarily in Polish, and some guests found the tours to be poorly organized or the guides unenthusiastic. The cash-only policy and the need for warm clothing and insect repellent are also key points to note.

"It is definitely worth a visit. It is an advantage to know Polish, but even as a foreigner I understood a little, especially if you know something about history. Apparently the explanation was sometimes interspersed with jokes, but only Polish speakers understood. Parking is free at the entrance, admission 50 zł, but cash only! Toilets are available. Spray with repellent, there are a lot of mosquitoes everywhere and you walk through the forest for a while. It is colder inside the underground city, a sweater is an advantage. We enjoyed the tour."

Marta Vitikačová

"Fantastic tour, our guide was a very enthusiastic young gentleman who definitely knows the subject.
We were lucky to visit the place in April so we had individual tour.
Definitely worth to visit to feel the atmosphere and learn about more about cold war."

Aleksandra Pietrzak-Mantiuk

"Quite interesting and priced reasonably. Nice presentation of cold war climate, particularly for the youngsters

Road marking totally insufficient, actually misleading (in order to get to the spot, you need to pass where according to the signs you are not allowed to)"

Tailored advice for your travel style

👨‍👩‍👧 Families with Kids

The Underground City Wolin can be an engaging experience for families, with its displays of tanks and weapons likely to capture children's imaginations. The 'nice presentation of cold war climate' is noted as being particularly good for younger visitors. Reddit However, parents should be aware that the tours are conducted in Polish, which might limit comprehension for non-Polish speaking children. The colder temperatures inside also mean packing extra layers for the kids. Reddit

For budget-conscious travelers, the Underground City Wolin offers a relatively affordable experience with an admission price of around 50 PLN. The free parking is also a plus.
