"This museum is much more of importance than it advertised itself. I was more than happy to ‘discover’ this place in Torun.
Very nice are the paintings of all Polish Kings in the city hall, in order of their duties. Have a look to the doors of the 15th and 16th centuries. I love the arts on how the artist decorated the doors at the time.
You shouldn’t miss the gothic exhibition on the ground floor, it shows very nice triptych from medieval times, collected from different places in Poland.
Note Sept 2025: Extra exhibition on the top floor shows paintings of Stefan Gierowski"

"For centuries, this beautiful old town market square has been the heartbeat of the city's public life. Filled with numerous historical gems, it's a treasure trove for history enthusiasts. Fortunately, the town was spared the ravages of World War II, allowing visitors to admire its precious buildings that have been listed on the UNESCO heritage list. The square is vibrant, bustling with shops, restaurants, and various attractions, drawing tourists from all over the world. Everything is conveniently located near the Vistula River, making it an ideal spot for those seeking historical attractions and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended!"

"I visited here because of the towns world heritage status. I bought the musuem pass and visited all of them. This one is one of the most important one explaining a lot of the history etc.
Built in the 13th century, the town hall was a symbol of Toruń’s importance as a major trading hub in the Hanseatic League. The museum features exhibitions on medieval art, local craftsmanship, and the life of Nicolaus Copernicus, who was born in Toruń."
